Join us at the Old Bluff

Old Bluff has a special history and continues to be important to us in the present. There are many ways it’s used today, whether for the annual reunion, weddings, funerals, pilgrimages and even regular worship services. Check out some of the many ways you can visit this beautiful “thin place.”

Worship at the Old Bluff

  • Annual Old Bluff Reunion

On the 4th Sunday of September every year we gather with the three sister churches, Bluff, Godwin and McMillan and people from all over the country to worship, remember those we lost that year, share in communion, and have a meal together. We will gather this year on September 25, 2022. You may give to the Old Bluff Trust Fund in memory of someone by clicking below (scroll to Old Bluff Trust Fund and write who it is in memory of in the comment box).

  • Regular Worship Services

During the summer of 2020, the Bluff congregation gathered outside at the Old Bluff for worship. When we went back inside, many of our church members missed going to the Old Bluff and we began to have more regular services there. For the summer of 2022, we’ll meet every 4th Sunday at 9:30 am, join us!

Pilgrimage at the Old Bluff

Come wander the grounds at the Old Bluff and pray alongside the history and beauty of the space. Attached is a pilgrimage written in Easter of 2020, but can be used at any time.

Get Married at the Old Bluff

The Old Bluff is a beautiful, simple setting for a wedding. The Bluff Session along with the Old Bluff Committee put together a new wedding policy for the Old Bluff in the winter of 2022. Contact the church for a copy of the guidelines:
